How to Reach

Corvara, located 1,568 m above sea level on a sunny plain at the foot of Mount Sassongher, is the cradle of tourism in Alta Badia. It's enough to watch the wonderful crown of mountains that surround it to understand that it is a magical place in the Dolomites. An ideal destination for their holidays both summer and winter.

If you are a novice climber, or if you intend to deal with a new way recommend that you contact the mountain guides operating in Alta Badia. Will introduce you to the techniques of climbing and will give you the chance to face the climbs with maximum security and serenity

Immerse yourself in nature and in the atmosphere typical of Corvara

The parks of South Tyrol, established by provincial law, have the following functions: protection of nature and landscape conservation, scientific research, information and education environment, recreation.

Next to the main purpose of security and environmental protection, wildlife park also plays the important task to entice the visitor to the understanding of nature through proper information and therefore awareness and incentive to behave responsibly and consciously against the same.

In natural parks you want to keep large areas preserved by technical and tourist infrastructure, to offer visitors an authentic recreation through individual experience in contact with nature. The traditional use of the land is held in the usual form, however, must comply with the requirements of the protection of nature and environment. Permanent settlements were included in the protected areas.

 

Parco Puez - Odle

The bastion of dolomite that is detached from the node orographic Sella and turns to the north has, through the groups of Puez and Odle, his extreme offshoot in Pütia.
The Puez-Odle for its geological history can be considered an open book of the history of the Earth.

Biotope lake in Corvara

Was created to offer guests both young and old a games outdoors, in close contact with nature.
The area was created in full respect of the surrounding ecosystem. The lake & egrave; divided into three parts: a swimming lake, a pond for children and a pond of regeneration that guarantees the biological cleaning of water.
Around the lake was created a recreation area with deck chairs and showers.
in the wooden house, built on the banks of the pond, was equipped a bar / restaurant.
Especially loved by mothers and children is the adjoining playground with slides, swings and roundabouts.

Deer park Paraciora

The park is located in Sompunt / Badia offers the opportunity to admire splendid specimens of wild animals including deer and farm animals such as horses, goats and sheep.
The deer park Paraciora-Sompunt in half & agrave; between La Villa and Badia spread over more than 7 acres of meadows and woods. From the restaurant Paraciora leads a comfortable path of ca. 2 km along which you can admire deer and deer run and jump in FREEDOM;.
In the playground adjacent to the restaurant Paraciora, in which the family's farm near Sompunt prepares delicious snacks, children can roam freely.
Note: Consider that deer and deer are wild animals and therefore do not allow themselves to touch and caress instead as goats and sheep. The management of the park asked not to feed the animals, not to compromise their natural ability to get food.

The park entrance to the village of Colfosco was created to raise awareness of children and adults the rural world of our valley. The park is also a haven of peace in the midst of nature.
The farm animal park entrance to the village of Colfosco is a peaceful oasis where you can enjoy pleasant relaxing moments. The structure was created to give children and adults the opportunity to experience the pleasure of contact with nature and learn about some structures of the peasants of the valley, without having to leave the center of the country.
Children can and do bring knowledge with different species of animals such as chickens, goats, rabbits, chickens, ducks and other animals on the farm and in particular can play in houses built right into the trees for their enjoyment.
Among the infrastructure of the park a mill water fully functional and a bread oven where during the summer is organized weekly an afternoon on the topic " from wheat to bread ".

Maso Runch

The farm Runch Badia children get acquainted with the farm animals such as chickens, rabbits, sheep, cows and horses. Particularly loved & egrave; a visit to the stables and the old mill.
The farm Runch Badia, at the foot of the Puez-Odle, is run by the family Nagler. The farmhouse, typical 800 is all masonry. On the ground floor of the house seeds you can visit the " stüa ", the parlor (living) which leads to the " stangod " the bedroom of the parents. On the opposite side of the hall is the " ciasadafüch ", the kitchen with wood-fired oven and pantry. Upstairs are the bedrooms and the attic which serves as a warehouse for products such as flour, bread, wool etc.
At the farm Runch children get acquainted with the farm animals such as chickens, rabbits, sheep, cows and horses. Particularly loved è a visit to the stables and the old mill.
The Tourist Alta Badia offer a guided half-day tour of the farm.

BMW xDRIVE LIVE – from 15.02.2015 to 1.03.2015: test the BMW range with four wheel drive system xDrive on equipped route.

Carnival Party – 17.02.2015: Carnival party on track open to all with a parade and ceremony of the most beautiful masks and fun, great selection of drinks and desserts. Great ski & acrobatic show with the ski instructors of Corvara-Ladin, snowboarding team Pirates Alta Badia, live music and face painting children. You are all invited!

Ski Show – 09.03.2015: Torchlight, ski show, acrobatic ski show by the ski instructors of Corvara-Ladin, the group Vitamin F and paragliding flights. Challenge bike-snowboard-ski with great athletes. Music and entertainment on track with DJt.

Sellaronda Skimarathon – 20.03.2015: Sella Ronda Ski Marathon: international ski mountaineering race at night around the Sella Group. Route (42 km): Selva Gardena-Corvara-Arabba-Canazei-Selva Gardena. Step Corvara 18:40 hours.

Summer events

Maratona dles Dolomites – 05 July 2015: The cycling marathon that leads from Alta Badia on the most beautiful Dolomite passes is annually among the unmissable events for cycling enthusiasts from around the world.

Sella Ronda Bike Day – 21 June 2015: The famous Sella Ronda, tour the steps around the Sella group, in summer you riding on roads without motor traffic, reserved only for cyclists.
